  1. Other types of information collected

a. Information collected via our website

Through its websites, EKO/Milliplein collects information about pages visited and URLs, browsers, and IP addresses used. Most of this data is collected using cookies or other analysis technologies.

The pages on our website use cookies and web beacons. This data is collected via our website to provide us with information about the website’s performance and effectiveness. This nonpersonal data allows us to improve the content and functionality of our websites and collect information about our customers’ browsing habits.

b. Cookies

A cookie is a small data file sent by a website to the browser used to view it. Cookies are transmitted when you visit our site, request or customize information, or register for certain services on it. The cookies are stored in your browser’s cache. Cookies do not provide any personal information to our website. A distinction is generally made between “session” and “persistent” cookies.

“Session” cookies don’t stay on your computer when you leave a site or close your browser. The information we collect helps us analyze browsing habits on our site. Among other things, it allows us to improve the content of our website, optimize it, and make it more user friendly.

“Persistent” cookies stay on your computer. They help simplify personalization and registration services. For example, cookies tell us what you have chosen to view when you visit our website. If you have a customer account, they allow us to recognize you when you browse our site (although access to your customer account still requires your password). “Persistent” cookies can be manually deleted by users.

Most browsers accept cookies by default, but you’re usually able to block or restrict them in your browser settings. If you block them, some features of our website may not work, and some pages may not display properly. Please check your browser options for more details regarding use and deactivation of cookies.

c. Web beacons

HTML newsletters use web beacons and cookies to generate website usage statistics. A web beacon is a single-pixel (1x1) image or a transparent GIF. They can recognize certain types of information on a visitor’s computer, like the visitor’s cookie number, the time and date a page was viewed, and a description of the page on which the beacon is located. You can disable certain web beacons by rejecting the cookies associated with them.
